LuJeanik Beach Shoot w/ Photographer Tony Yang
Had an amazing shoot on Saturday with upstate photographer, Tony Yang and the beautiful Tampa model Hana Young. After only a few weeks of preparation we locked down a shoot location here in Tampa. Rather than doing the typical shoot on the well known beaches in Tampa Bay, we decided to shoot at a secluded beach early Saturday morning. Turned out to be a great idea as we were able to get some great images from the shoot and the shots appeared as we were on a private beach location. We also decided to capture live footage of the shoot, so I got my other half, Pete Metayer involved to assist. Being on the secluded beach was perfect for our project because there was not a lot of interruptions and there was not a lot of people on the beach at the time. The weather was perfect, being in the mid-60s in January was perfect for our shoot, especially for swimwear. I feel bad during those times when we are trying to shoot on location in the winter for summer promotions and the weather is cold and breezy. Those times are hard for capturing the best images and making the most out of the shoot. However, we did not have any of those issues. The only issues we faced were the moon jellies that were stranded everywhere on the beach and we were concerned if they actually sting. Come to find out they were completely harmless. Another encounter was as we were shooting the tide rose higher, but nevertheless we were able to move to other locations on the beach once that happened. Luckily, because we arrived early we were still able to get great images before the tide rose. I am so excited to see how the images will turn out from our shoot so that I can share with you. In the meantime, we have the edited video from our shoot on Saturday and I hope you love it just as much as we do. Enjoy!
